Does anyone have the notes on "Solving problems with more then one triangle"?

Thursday, September 13th 2012!

Part 1: Answering Textbook Questions!!! SO MUCH FUN :D

Page: 95, Question #8b
Page 82 Question #4c

Page 82 Question #3a
PART 2: Calculators! EVEN BETTER!!

Mr.T gave us a short message that if we wanted to rent a calculator to use for the whole year it would cost $30, but if you lose it, you must replace it for about $100 SO DON'T LOSE IT!  If you do rent the display calculators now, you will learn how to use it and it will save you the trouble of having to learn later when you will need it every day.

Math Sense, Mistakes, and a QUIZ!
Just remember that If the answer doesn't make sense when you look at it, it probably isnt the right answer.  For example, if the adjacent side looks smaller than the opposite side, but the adjacent side is 100cm and the opposite side is 4.5cm, something went wrong... So just use your math sense!

Also, It's important to learn from you're mistakes, but it's even better to learn from other peoples mistakes because then you don't have to make the same mistake!  It's a win-win! Well... Except for the person who made the mistake in the beginning, but whatever.

AND REMEMBER! There is a QUIZ TOMORROW! FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th (i think) so make sure to study, and good luck!

(side note... If the pictures are too small sorry. This is my first time doing this!)
I am need of the notes from today. Please.

Trigonometry

Study of triangles:
       - Angles add up to 180 degrees
       - Triangles have 3 sides and 3 angles (vertices)

Types of triangles:
       By angles:                       or                      by sides:
     - acute - 3<90 degrees                              - isosceles - 2 sides =
     - obtuse - 1>90 degrees                            - equilateral - all sides =
     - right - 1=90 degrees                               - scalene - no sides =

Pythagorean Theorem

         A2 + B2 = C2
               x2 + 92 =152
                x2 =152 - 92
                  x2 = 144
            x = 12

Trig Ratios

     - SineΘ
      - Cosine Θ
      - Tangent Θ

 Sine Θ = opposite (over) Hypotenuse
 Cosine Θ = adjacent (over) Hypotenuse
 Tangent Θ = opposite (over) adjacent

           Label
Θ = 37 degrees                     sine Θ = O / H
O = 11 cm                             sine 37 = 11 / x
A =
H = x

Label the Sides

                        S o/h C a/h T o/a
Θ = 24 degrees
O =
A = x
H = 15

cos24 =  x/15

15(0.9135)=(x/15)15  13.7025 = x

Θ = 24 degrees                cos24 = x/25
O =                                   25(.9135)=(x/25)25
A = x                                22.8375 = x
H = 25

Θ = theta           tan(theta)= O/A
O = 3                 tan(theta) = 3/6
A = 6                 tan(theta) = 0.5
H =                   (theta) = 27 degrees

THE BEE!!

There was an evil bee/wasp/monster/devil thing in the room today and it almost ate and destroyed us all!! It totes probs almost set the school on fire.........
                                                               This is what it looked like ->
